Leather Tooling Workshop
This weekend marked my first trip out to Marfa, TX for our Girls Guild Leather Tooling workshop as part of the Trans-Pecos Music Festival. We had an amazing group of folks sign up for the class and spent the early afternoon hammering away on leather scraps. Each participant walked away with their own shield key chain, tooled and dye by them.
Folks caught on really quickly and we managed to finish our key chains in record time, aided by some strong West Texas sunshine to dry our leather quickly for dying and finishing.
I'd like to give a special thank you to Cheyenne and Diana of Girls Guild, Callie Thompson, and Ginger from El Cosmico for putting this all together! Big shout out to my workshop assistant, McCall, for helping me manage the insane amount of gear I brought for the event.
