Brian Chilton

Brian Chilton is a furniture designer and welder based in east Austin. Like most folks in Austin, I first found out about his work while eating at Contigo, our go-to restaurant whenever we have visitors in town. With clean lines and workhorse materials, Brian's furniture maintains a rustic, yet modern feel.

I was reminded of Brian's great work when I came across this video explaining how he became involved with creating all the furniture at Contigo, even custom welding the awning at the restaurant. It feels serendipitous that this job would be the tipping point in his career, shifting him into full-time furniture work.
