Moonrise Kingdom
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N8wkVA4_8s]The new Wes Anderson trailer for Moonrise Kingdom hit last week and I may have watched it at least 6x in a row. Folks tend to fawn all over Anderson because his visual stories are so rich. The production quality alone can leave you spinning in a dizzy, as he just layers and layers the details. Sometimes those details choke out the actual storyline, but I'm ok with that. There are certain films we watch just for the sheer beauty, and Anderson films definitely fall into that category for me.
Is it just me, or does the Jared Gilman's character feel like he's channeling John Hodgeman? Also of note, the talented Jessica Hische illustrated the titles.
