A unisex natural perfume
Skive is a collaboration between natural perfumer J.Hannah Co. and leatherworker Canoe. The musky amber-rich scent captures the essence of Canoe’s sun-drenched studio, animalistic with hints of freshly brewed tea. Skive includes ancient oils with aromatic qualities of fresh turned earth, campfires, old wooden cabinets, and dried tea leaves. Named after the process of skiving leather – thinning the backside of a piece of leather with a knife. This unisex blend is created in small batches in Chicago, IL.
Notes of Ambrette (botanical musk), Atlas Cedarwood, Castorium, Choya Loban, Clary Sage, Myrrh, Nutmeg, Saffron, Tobacco, Vetiver
Skive was named a 2015 Art and Olfaction Award winner in the Independent category.

"The fragrance was spectacularly spot on: bitter, smoky, rich, warm, dry, and with what I can only describe as a personality, a soul that you would love to meet and befriend…I have a soft spot for smoky fragrances which I feel bring the cleansing power of fire to our senses, but this one is unusual in being unadorned, casual, poetically functional like much-used tools, and altogether devoid of any perfume mannerisms."
